Mouth Ulcer

An open sore inside the oral cavity is generally known as mouth ulcer. The types of mouth ulcer are aphthous ulcer and cold sores. Once formed, the mouth ulcer may be maintained by inflammation and secondary infection. Symptoms of the mouth ulcer may vary depending upon the cause of the mouth ulcer. Certain causes may be consumption of a particular drug, chemical or due to certain infectious diseases like herpes or thrush. Generally, mouth ulcers are harmless and get cured by themselves and don’t require any serious medication. There is no any particular ulcer friendly foods for this particular kind of ulcer but it is required that the food consumed should not be hot and should be less spicy. A balanced diet with fruits and vegetables and consumption more green by the person affected with this ulcer is advisable. The main reason behind preventing mouth ulcers is that no one wants to suffer from pain. Few preventive measure are, brushing the teeth twice daily, flushing the mouth after eating any spicy or sweet stuff, using a good mouth wash etc…. it is also advisable to reduce the intake sugar content in the food consumed and rinse the mouth to make sure that no residue is left in the mouth
